In some instances it is preferable to minimise an organisations public exposure regarding specific projects. These customers are however prepared to act as references if required from time to time. This project description therefore does not include the company and personnel names but does include the scope and outcome of the solution provided.

This project was for one of the country’s largest logistics companies with intermodal freight services including shipping, rail and transport facilities.

In third quarter 2013 the company investigated Fuel Management System options for a large intermodal facility based in Sydney. Part of that investigation included the companies IT project manager meeting with Datafuel’s Service Technicians and R&D Engineers at their North Ryde office. He was satisfied the technical resources were available to support the project and future strategic expansion.

In December 2013, based on proven Datafuel performance at two existing “stand-alone” sites, the company took the decision to install an additional three Datafuel DF9000C consoles at the intermodal terminal. The project also consolidated all sites centralising fuel management controls at state office level.

The project was successful and provides live fuel facility management control and reporting across locomotives, prime movers and site based plant and equipment.

The company is now expanding facility coverage with systems being installed at regional locations. The current network comprises six Datafuel DF9000’s with an additional DF5000 to be installed in third quarter 2014.
