A leading global miner required an upgrade to one of its site workshop fuel facilities.

Part of the upgrade included the replacement of an existing high cost mining specific Fuel Management System.

The customer’s new Fuel Management System objectives included several specific capabilities including,

• 12 volt control system operation
• Live LAN data link
• Ability to read existing employee site access control cards
• One time access control programming

To meet these requirements Datafuel installed a site compatible Gallagher reader onto a DF6000C electronic console.

Datafuel also created a custom intelligent data import facility that enabled the Gallagher Access Control System programming to be automatically imported into the WinFMS software (WinFMS Autorun function). The Gallagher programming was therefore defacto driving the Datafuel system.

The Datafuel R&D team were able to implement the custom capabilities successfully at relatively low cost in comparison to other alternatives.

The system has operated successfully and Datafuel was pleased to receive further sales enquiries from other sites within the group.
